Spinning wheel (heraldry)
The spinning wheel is a common figure in heraldry and can be found in two basic representations in coats of arms.
The simple form is the half or full wheel in the shield . That it should be a spinning wheel is only clear from the description of the coat of arms .
The second representation is the more or less spatial shape of a real spinning wheel with many details. This complicated heraldic figure contradicts the heraldic rule of simplicity.
The traditional textile craft is often referred to with the spinning wheel .
