Splodgenessabounds is a British punk rock band from south London .
history
The band's debut record was called “Simon Templer” / “Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps Please” . The B-side was the better known part and should the name of a BBC - Sitcom be. The A-side was a beefed up theme song from the TV series The Saint . After this first Top 10 success, they achieved another Top 40 hit with a new version of the Rolf Harris hit “Two Little Boys” from 1969.
In 2006, the band reappeared on British television when she in a TV show Harry Hill together with Gene Simmons of Kiss appeared.
style
The Touch and Go - Fanzine described the music of the band's debut single as a "clownish sound, (...) a mixture of the faxes of Madness and the absurdity of the Revillos ", which however had no lasting effect on the listener.
