Captain Oi! Records is a British punk - and Oi! - Label based in High Wycombe . The independent label specializes in re-releasing classics and rare unreleased material from old punk bands, but also releases new material from time to time.

Label history

After leaving The Business in 1989, Mark Brennan concentrated on his Link Records label for a while . a. the legendary Oi! series by Garry Bushell with the titles Oi! The Ressurection , The Joys of Oi! , as well as the live album Oi! The Main Event continued. His partner at the time was Lol Pryor, a former manager of The Business. At first, Brennan's mother took over the accounting . Castle Communications was brought on board as a partner . After the number of employees increased in the early 1990s, Brennan and Pryor reactivated Dojo Records . Brennan left in 1992 and founded Captain Oi! Records. First release was a rerelease of The Last Resort's Skinhead Anthems album .

Initially, Brennan only focused on re-releases from bands like Cock Sparrer , Cockney Rejects and other Oi! Legends. In the course of time he opened his label to bands like The Boys , Action Pact and English Dogs and founded a partner label called Captain Mod . Over time, he also deviated from his re-release series, releasing new bands like Argy Bargy and new material from bands like Red Alert and the Special Duties . The material is no longer limited to the UK market, so Captain Oi! also about the releases of an American band like The Dickies . Harder punk styles, with bands like Discharge, as well as Ska albums by the Bad Manners are also sold by the label.

In addition to his own publications, Brennan also takes care of re-releases of friendly labels and sponsors local soccer clubs.

Meanwhile, there exists a MP3 - Download portal. DVD releases were also added to the CD and vinyl market.
