The Adicts (engl. Actually addicts , interpreting .: addicts ) is a punk band from Ipswich , UK. They were founded in 1975 and played in their original line-up until 2017. They called themselves the longest-running punk band with the original line-up.

Band history

When it was founded in 1975, the band was initially called Afterbirth , later The Pintz . In 1977, inspired by Stanley Kubrick's film Clockwork Orange , they changed their name to The Adicts . Since there was already a band called Addicts , they left out a d .

The members adopted the style and appearance, so white clothes and black and white made-up faces, the " Clockwork Orange " gang around Alex. In 2009 and 2017, The Adicts supported the German tour of the Toten Hosen as the opening act .
