Spoken is a Christian alternative rock - band from Fayetteville , Arkansas (USA).

history

With their grouping in 1996, Spoken quickly became a mainstay in their local music scene thanks to a relentless work ethic. Shortly after their grouping, they signed their first recording deal with Metro 1 Music , where they released three albums and one greatest hits album. With the first album, On Your Feet (1997), and the second album, … What Remains (1999), the sound was oriented towards metal, rap and a little melodic rock. The third release, Echoes of the Spirit Still Dwell (2000) contained heavier and more melodic songs that were repeatedly seen on radio and television in the US with the songs Forevermore and This Path .

Spoken signed a contract with Tooth & Nail Records to release their next album, A Moment of Imperfect Clarity . The band made music videos for the songs Promise and Falling Further .

In 2005, Spoken released the album Last Chance to Breathe . The style of the band is changing more and more, so there was more emphasis on screaming than hard guitar work. A music video was made of the song Bitter Taste .

In September 2007 Spoken released their third album , Spoken, on Tooth & Nail Records. The sound was harder, more mature and contained both hard voices and hard guitar sounds.

Spoken has hosted various tours across the US, Japan and Germany . With an average of over 100 shows a year in the US, they fill concert halls with thousands of people.
