Spongomonas intestinum is a species from the genus Spongomonas in the order of the Spongomonadida .

features

The cells are 8 micrometers in size, spherical, small and naked. They have two flagella 16 to 24 micrometers long. These are of the same length, directed forward and sit in a compact, granular jelly. The colonies are up to 3 centimeters long, 100 to 200 micrometers wide, brownish and worm-shaped.
