Redevelopment

Discussions about renovating the Tägi began as early as 2006 and in 2007 a feasibility study was submitted to the residents' council. In May 2012, the latter approved a planning loan of 5,720,000 francs for the “upgrading and expansion” of the Tägi, which was based on a rough cost estimate of 83.7 million francs. The loan application was rejected in the subsequent referendum on September 23, 2012, so that the community had to revise and downsize the project. Two years later, first the residents' council and then the voters approved a planning loan of CHF 3.32 million. On September 1, 2016, the municipal parliament approved the renovation project with a loan application of CHF 46,530,000, which was also accepted by the electorate on November 27, 2016. The Tägi has been fundamentally renovated since March 2018. The indoor pool and restaurant have been closed since the beginning of May. The former is slated to reopen in 2020. A restaurant is no longer planned in the "new" Tägi. The office of Scheitlin Syfrig Architects is responsible for the renovation.

Sporting events

National and international games and tournaments of a wide variety of sports take place in the sports hall, such as the EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup, Women in 2017 and the EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup, Men in 2018 . Semi-finals for the Swiss Futsal Championship were also played in Tägi.
