Sport Áncash is a Peruvian football club from the city of Huaraz . The club was founded on April 22, 1967 and plays its home games at the Rosa Pampa Stadium. The club is currently playing in the third-class Copa Perú .

Division

Sport Áncash succeeded in 2004 under the then coach Rafael Castañeda for the first time the promotion to the first Peruvian league, the Primera Division . From 2005 to 2009, the club managed to stay in the first division. In 2009 the club rose to the second Peruvian league, the Segunda Division. The club competed there until 2013. Then the game had to be stopped due to high debts . After a fresh start, the club managed to qualify again for the Segunda Division through successes in regional leagues.

The home stadium of Sport Áncash is the Estadio Rosas Pampa in Huaraz. The stadium has a capacity of 18,000.
