Sportbuzzer is an information portal about sports on the Internet that belongs to the Madsack media group .

It was founded in 2013 with the aim of working with the DFB to ensure that all results and tables of all league games in German football are available around an hour after the final whistle.

Sports news about football is primarily published on this platform.

Other sports are also taken into account.

According to the German editorial network, Sportbuzzer is the fastest growing soccer portal in Germany. Sportbuzzer has been run by Tom Vaagt, who came from Sportbild and replaced Christoph Maier, since 2017 . In the same year, the sports portal achieved around 4 million hits per month.

In October 2018, the sports buzzer was one of the top 100 editorial media brands in Germany.

In 2019 the sports buzzer started, with the help of TV presenters Jochen Breyer and Laura Wontorra , an action alliance for the promotion of amateur football.
