Sportwelt Verlag
The Sports World Publishing is a German specialist publisher of sports literature. The focus is on training books for triathlons with the disciplines of swimming, cycling and running. The publisher's philosophy is to help endurance athletes achieve greater training success through well-founded knowledge. The company is based in Frankfurt am Main .
History and structure
Sportwelt Verlag was founded in 2006 by Nicole Luzar. In 2007 the first training books on mental training, swimming training and running training for triathletes were published. The publishing program is now divided into the following sections:
- Non-fiction books with a focus on: triathlon, swimming, running, cycling, ultramarathon, ultratriathlon & extreme sports
- entertainment
- Health & Nutrition
- eBooks
In July 2019, the publishing house was taken over by Iris Hadbawnik and has since been based in Frankfurt am Main .
Publications
In addition to more efficient training for triathletes ("Triathlon Total: Your way to the new best time" by Roy Hinnen ), swimmers, runners, cyclists and ultra-athletes, the books on increasing performance also deal with a healthy, performance-enhancing diet based on the Stone Age principle, including the Paleo principle or Called Stone Age nutrition ("The paleo principle of healthy nutrition in endurance sport" by Loren Cordain and Joe Friel). The publishing program is supplemented by autobiographical life and sport reports ("Adventure Unlimited: My Life in the Border Area" by Helmut Linzbichler), as well as serious topics such as depression in sport ("My way out of depression" by Patrick N. Kraft).
Johannes Steck also recorded “ Boston Run - The Marathon Thriller ” by Frank Lauenroth as an audio book.
