The Spreewölfe Berlin are an inline skater hockey club from Berlin .

Club history

The association was founded on March 7, 2009 by members of the university team of the Free and Technical University of Berlin . In the 2010 season, the Spreewölfe Berlin provided a men's team in the BISHL (Berlin Inline Skater Hockey League) for the first time, as well as a women's team for the first time, which started in the 2nd women's division north of the ISHD. The 1st women achieved the championship title in the 2nd women's league North in the first year and thus rose to the 1st women's league. The club also reported for the first time for the 2011 season for the Regionalliga Nord of the ISHD, in which they appear as the second Berlin team alongside the Red Devils Berlin. In addition to the regular championship competitions, the 1st women and 1st men take part in the ISHD Cup for women and men. In addition, the 1st men and 2nd men play in the BISHL Cup.

Teams

The Spreewölfe have five teams in the league (as of April 2020). They are also part of the Berlin-wide “Team Unitas” in the 1st Bundesliga.

Venues

Refurbished roller skating rink with a new roof

The home ground of the Spreewölfe Berlin is the Poststadion in Berlin-Moabit . Known for Bundesliga and national team games after the Second World War, the sports complex around the Poststadion sports park also houses a covered and illuminated runway with a capacity of over 500 standing and seated people. All training and home games of the teams in the league take place here. In 2013, a barrier construction with plexiglass panes was built with voluntary commitment.
