The Sprekkefjellet (Norwegian for Cleaved Mountain is) an isolated hill in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Mühlig-Hofmann Mountains it rises 8 km north of the estuary of the Austre Skorvebreen . Its name is derived from its two low peaks , which are separated from each other by a snow-covered saddle .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it descriptively, mapped it on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
