Fountain of wealth
The Fountain of Wealth ( English Fountain of Wealth , Chinese 財富 之 泉 / 财富 之 泉 , Pinyin cáifù zhī quán ) is registered in the Guinness Book of Records from 1998 as the largest fountain in the world. The fountain is located in Suntec City, one of the largest shopping malls in Singapore .
The fountain is switched off at certain times of the day, so visitors can walk to the inner, small fountain in the middle. The fountain is switched off at night, but there is a laser light show every day from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., while there is live music.
history
The Fountain of Wealth was built in 1995, during the major economic development of Suntec City.
structure
The fountain is made of bronze and consists of a circular ring with a circumference of 66 meters supported on four large sloping pillars. It occupies an area of 1683 square meters and is 13.8 meters high.
