history

The company was founded in 1973 in Düsseldorf with the business purpose of cleaning carpets, carpets and upholstery. By 1978 Sprint had developed into a specialist company for the restoration of fire and water damage. After the establishment of further branches, Sprint offered for the first time a specialist seminar for the insurance industry with the "Introduction to restructuring practice".

In 1985, the company imported its first odor treatment devices from the USA . On the initiative of Sprint, the FSU was founded in 1987 as the “Association for Renovation and Environment”. In 1994 the Sprint process for the decontamination of dioxins and furans was granted the European patent . At the same time, the company introduced a new service for the repair of window and door profiles made of wood and plastic with the help of shellac and hard waxes. Further branches were established by 1999 and the company underwent extensive restructuring. This was followed by the opening of the central service center in Cologne and the introduction of a digital workflow system based on the "SESAM" digital claims file. The system controls the work processes between the renovation company and the insurance industry, with the branches documenting the progress of their work. Insurance regulators, experts and back office employees could monitor the progress of the recovery as it was carried out.

During the Elbe floods in 2002 , almost a third of the rehabilitation specialists were on duty in the disaster area. In 2003 the departments "Repair of Glass Damage" and "Lightning and Surge Damage" were established. In the same year Sprint published a technical book on drying technology.

In 2004 Sprint was the first renovation company in Germany to hold a nationwide roadshow on the subject of “drying technology” under the name “We dry harder”. The second roadshow followed in 2007 with “Project Phoenix” (fire damage restoration) and the third roadshow in 2009 with “InnoValues” (“Protecting values with innovations”).

In 2005, the company founded a new department for the rehabilitation of major industrial damage under the name “Sprint Industry”. One year later Sprint-Industry rehabilitated major industrial losses in other European countries for the first time. Under the “SAFE” brand, Sprint-Industry offers, in addition to renovation services, a prevention program that is intended to uncover potential risks in companies before damage occurs.

The “Sprint Academy” was also launched in 2005 and began to train regulators and experts. The Sprint Academy also serves to provide standardized training for Sprint specialists and thus to ensure a nationwide service level.

The “Forum Praxis”, launched in 2008, is primarily used to provide information to specialists and executives in the insurance industry. The event, which, in addition to specialist lectures, focuses on the demonstration of technologies and processes, has taken place annually since then.

With the “SprintCast”, Sprint started a series of video podcasts in 2009 as the first company in the industry , in which rehabilitation processes or innovative technologies are presented. The podcasts are available for free download on the Internet.

Between 2009 and 2011 Sprint took part in the nationwide competition "Germany's most customer-oriented service provider". In 2011 the company reached 10th place. From 2012, the service quality was then certified by TÜV Nord . Since then, the company has been advertising with the TÜV seal of “tested service quality”.

In 2011, the company presented a second reference book, the “Guideline for the Detection, Significance and Remediation of Microbial Infestation in Interiors”, an independent scientific advisory board was involved in creating.

With the "Mobile Claims Management", Sprint opened a new chapter in renovation in 2012. With the help of a specially developed app that is directly based on the in-house SESAM workflow system, Sprint is the first company in the industry to be able to digitally map the renovation process in parallel in real time. Important information is immediately available to everyone involved as so-called initial reports. As a result, decisions can be made more quickly and the extent of damage limited.
