Spunk wine gum

Spunk is the brand name for salty liquorice and wine gums , by the Danish Toms Gruppen A / S are produced. The licorice is small, black, very dry and salty.

Pack size

Spunk is sold in cuboid 20 or 23 gram packs. The salty liquorice packaging is predominantly black, while that of the wine gums is predominantly green, each with a red and yellow logo and blue “Spunk” imprint on the front and back. The packaging of the wine gums also has the label "Vingummi" in white.

Availability in Germany

In Germany, Spunk is almost exclusively available in the north, often at gas stations or in supermarkets.

The word "spunk" in literature

The word also occurs in the children's book Pippi in Taka-Tuka-Land from the Pippi-Longstocking series by Astrid Lindgren . There Pippi spontaneously invented the term and then tried to find out what a “spunk” could be about. Finally, a shiny metallic beetle is named after it.
