The municipal high school Wermelskirchen in the Bergische Mittelstadt Wermelskirchen has existed since 1867. In addition to the main building at Stockhauser Straße 13, there is an auxiliary building at Schillerstraße 9. In the 2017/2018 school year, the school is attended by around 1116 pupils from Wermelskirchen and the surrounding area . The school building includes a cafeteria, two sports halls and two school libraries, one of which is in the adjoining building, a science wing and an upper level wing.

Projects / partnerships

The grammar school has no artistic, linguistic or scientific focus, but works on many projects and takes part in competitions. In 2016 the grammar school was recognized as a MINT-friendly school (MINT = mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology). In grades 8 and 9, differentiation subjects such as B.
