The Lüneburg Clinic is a municipal hospital in Lüneburg . It operates a cooperation with the Elbe-Heide-Krankenhausverbund , which also includes the Elbe Kliniken Stade-Buxtehude , the Buchholz Hospital , the Winsen Hospital and the Heidekreis-Klinikum . The clinic was founded on October 1st, 1900 as the Lüneburg Municipal Hospital with 60 beds. New buildings and extensions followed in 1952, 1972, 1975, 1992, 1996, 1997, 2003, 2005 and since 2016. The clinic is an academic teaching hospital of the University of Hamburg.
