Cambuslang ( Gaelic : Camas Lang ) is a suburb about ten kilometers southeast of Glasgow city ​​center in South Lanarkshire , Scotland . Cambuslang is located south of the River Clyde .

The place was formerly known as "the largest village in Scotland" because it had no town council with more than 17,000 inhabitants. 1996 the place was incorporated into South Lanarkshire. Cambuslang now has 27,004 inhabitants.
