The former Ständehaus is a monument on the town square in Burghausen .

history

The building at Stadtplatz 115 was mentioned as the Haus am Steg as early as 1400 . The classical facade was designed by the city mason Franz Anton Glonner in the first quarter of the 19th century. From the third quarter of the 18th century the house of the landscape belonged to the Bavarian estates . Its successor organization, the Rent Office, was housed in the building until 1808 before the seat of the authority was relocated to Grüben 182.

The core of the three-storey building with a high basement, five upper storey axes and triangular gable , as well as strongly profiled cornices comes from the 16th / 17th century. Century. The gable roof is hipped to a gable towards the town square. The rear building is a four-storey hipped roof building with plaster structure, probably from the 18th century. In the basement there is a barrel vault and a cat's head or tile pavement, probably from the 16th / 17th century. Century. The double-winged, carved oak door opens to an entrance hall with a stately staircase with baluster railing . The vault with Bohemian caps is from the 1st quarter of the 19th century. The former assembly hall of the stands is located on the ground floor facing the Salzach River.
