The Sony α99 II ( SLT-A99 II ) is a SLT camera housing from Sony with A-bayonet and the successor to the α99 model . It was presented in autumn 2016.

Differences to the Alpha 99

The main differences include the higher number of image series of 12 instead of 10 images per second as well as the significantly higher resolution of 42.2 instead of 24.6 megapixels and the ability to record 4K videos .

The electronic viewfinder has 1,228,800 instead of 786,432 pixels.
