The Sony α380 ( DSLR-A380 ) is introduced in 2009, digital SLR camera of Sony from the alpha-series .

The alpha series follows on from the Minolta Dynax series . In contrast to the former Minolta models, the Sony models have an elaborate autofocus system as well as lower noise with a higher exposure index and a higher resolution.

The α380 has a CCD image sensor in APS-C format (23.5 × 15.6 mm) with 14.2 megapixels. The memory card compartment is located on the handle, with space for an SDHC memory card and a Memory Stick Pro Duo. All necessary information is shown on the tilting 2.7-inch display.

There are separate buttons for the most important settings and a rotary knob with which the settings can be adjusted. The camera has both a live view function and a manual focus check that is magnified up to 14 × using the recording sensor. In contrast to the live view systems from Canon or Nikon , the oscillating mirror does not have to be moved while focusing. The autofocus is also faster because the phase comparison sensors are used.

Individual evidence

  1. Sony (along with other manufacturers) counts the subpixels of each pixel, i.e. H. the red, green and blue channels of each pixel individually, and therefore specifies the rear display with 76,800 [pixels] × 3 [color channels] = 230,400 or approx. 230,000 pixels.
