The Adobe RGB color space is an RGB color space that was defined by Adobe Inc. in 1998.

With this color space, the CMYK color space of a color printer should be adapted to the RGB working space of screens and other output media. The primary valencies were selected accordingly.

The Adobe RGB color space contains around half of the colors defined in the (comprehensive) Lab color space . Compared to the sRGB color space, the number of colors that can be treated and used has been improved. The gamut was primarily improved in the green tones, including the blue-green area, i.e. the cyan tones .

The Reds play better than the Adobe RGB color space, the color range of a wide gamut - TFT displays .
