The Sony α6300 (or Sony Alpha 6300 ) is a mirrorless system camera from the Sony α-6000 series . The model with internal number ILCE-6300 was announced on February 3, 2016. The Sony Alpha 6300 was introduced as the successor to the Sony Alpha 6000 and essentially differs through a different APS-C sensor . In German-speaking countries, the recommended retail price when the camera was introduced was 1,399.00 euros.

The cameras of the Alpha 6000 series are mirrorless system cameras with an image sensor in APS-C format and extensive internal image recording and processing software; they have a three inch display and a digital viewfinder. As with all cameras in the α series, the Sony E-mount system is used as the lens connection . The software enables video recordings with a resolution of up to 4K . Images are recorded as jpg and in Sony's own raw data format ARW.

The exposure index has been doubled compared to its predecessor: A6000 to ISO 25,600; A6300 up to ISO 51,200. The viewfinder has 2.3 million pixels.

Video resolution of the α6300:

  • 4K at 30 fps, 24 fps (NTSC)
  • 4K at 25 fps (PAL)
  • Full HD with 120 fps, 60 fps, 30 fps, 24 fps (NTSC)
  • Full HD with 100 fps, 50 fps, 25 fps (PAL)

With the Sony Alpha 6300, recordings in Full HD resolution with 60i or 50i ( half images ) are possible.
