The Sony α6000 (or Sony Alpha 6000 ) is a mirrorless system camera housing with an E-bayonet from the Sony α series . The housing is smaller than a traditional digital SLR camera housing, but contains the relatively large APS-C sensor . A small fold-out flash is included in the housing, and other devices, e.g. B. connect a clip-on microphone.

The model with internal number ILCE-6000 was announced in February 2014. In the Sony product lineup, the model replaces the previous Sony NEX-6 and Sony NEX-7. According to Sony, the sensor-side contrast autofocus sharpens within 0.06 seconds, which made the α6000 the camera with the fastest autofocus in its class when it was released.

α6000:

  • Full HD at 60 fps , 30 fps, 24 fps (NTSC)
  • Full HD with 50 fps, 25 fps (PAL)

With the Sony α6000, Full HD 60i or 50i ( half images ) is also possible.

Successor models

When the successor model Sony α6300 was announced in February 2016, Sony announced that it would continue to produce the α6000. The Sony α6100 (2019), Sony α6400 (2019), Sony α6500 (2016) and Sony α6600 (2019) models are further developments of the Sony α6000.
