Mo'er Monastery

The site of the Mo'er Monastery ( Chinese  莫尔 寺 遗址 , Pinyin Mò'ěr sì yízhǐ , English Mo'er Temple site ) in the (Uyghur) village of Mo'er (莫尔 村), municipality of Boshikeranmu (伯什克 然木 乡), Shufu County ( 疏附县 , Shufu xian ), Kashgar , Xinjiang , China , includes a former Buddhist temple and two pagodas . The village is named in Uighur after these " chimneys ". It was one of the westernmost Buddhist monasteries in China and existed from the Han to the Tang dynasties .

The site was added to the List of Monuments of the People's Republic of China in Xinjiang (5-134) in 2001.
