Stéphane Décotterd

Stéphane Décotterd (* 1976 in Billens ) is a Swiss chef .

Life

Décotterd began his cooking apprenticeship in 1991 in the restaurant “Le Petit” with André Minder in Saint-Légier . Then he cooked for a short time at the Lausanne Palace in Lausanne .

In 1998 he moved to Le Pont de Brent with Gérard Rabaey in Brent, 200 meters above Montreux (three Michelin stars ). There he met his future wife Stéphanie in 2000, who was a sommelier there. In 2003 he went to Canada with Stéphanie to the Hôtel Les Trois Tilleuls in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu . In 2005 he returned to the restaurant Le Pont de Brent , which he took over in 2011.

The restaurant Le Pont de Brent reopened on January 3, 2011 , and has since continued to receive two Michelin stars. Since 2018 he has done without seafood, exotic fruits and other imported products and dedicates himself exclusively to local cuisine.

Awards

  • 2008: Winner of the concours du cuisinier d'Or , title of best Swiss chef
  • 2009: Fifth place worldwide at the Bocuse d'Or , competition in Lyon (France)
  • 2011: two stars in the 2012 Michelin Guide for Le Pont de Brent
