Stéphane Pallage

Stéphane Pallage is a Belgian - Canadian economist . He has been Rector of the University of Luxembourg since 2018 .

Life

Pallage grew up in Malmedy, Belgium . He began his academic career at the University of Liège and graduated in business administration in 1990 . In 1993 he completed his MSIA in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania , where he also obtained a PhD in Economics in 1995. He taught as a professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal and was Dean of the School of Management there from 2013 to 2017 .

His scientific work focuses on applied macroeconomics , dynamic general equilibrium models, economic development aid and measures against child labor .
