Stéphane Pompougnac (* 1968 in Paris ) is a French House - DJ , musician , composer and music producer . He achieved international fame primarily through the series Hôtel Costes , a compilation he put together in the downtempo style.

biography

Pompougnac was born in Paris in 1968. He spent his childhood and youth in Bordeaux . At the age of 18 he started DJing in various clubs in Bordeaux. After completing his studies, he first spent six months in London before returning to Paris in 1992. There he played in clubs like Le Queen , Privilège and Diable des Lombards . Eventually he became a regular DJ at Les Bains Douches . It was there in 1997 that Pompougnac met Jean-Louis Costes , one of the owners of the luxury hotel Costes . Costes made Pompougnac the offer to work as a DJ in the hotel lounge.

Pompougnac published his first compilation entitled Hôtel Costes in 1999 , laying the foundation for the series of the same name with which he has enjoyed international success ever since. He also provided the music for various fashion presentations by Gucci and Yves Saint-Laurent as well as various compilations for z. B. Perrier .

In 2003 he released his first self-produced album entitled Living on the Edge .
