The company has branches in 12 other countries, including Germany, France, Great Britain, Russia and the USA.
The company develops, produces and sells conveyor and storage systems for transport pallets as well as for cardboard boxes and containers , as well as floor conveyors such as electric forklifts , hand pallet trucks and special devices for lifting and transporting loads . The company also develops and sells software for warehouse management and order picking . The Stöcklin Group has its own software company for this purpose .
history
The company was founded in 1934 by Walter Stöcklin and converted into a stock corporation in 1961 as Walter Stöcklin AG . In 1995 the name was changed to Stöcklin Logistik AG. In 2003, the Stöcklin Group took over Retis Software AG, which was founded in 1981 by what was then Sprecher + Schuh AG and specializes in industrial software . This appeared under the name Stöcklin Software AG and was integrated into Stöcklin Logistik AG in 2011. At the beginning of 2020, the company moved to the technology center in Laufen.
Headquarters
Stöcklin Logistik AG built a new headquarters in Laufen from 2018 to spring 2020 . The new building, known as the “Technology Center”, is to have so-called open-plan offices, meeting areas and a staff restaurant. Around 320 people are employed at the new location. The headquarters of the Laufen Group and a production facility for Ricola AG are also in the immediate vicinity .
