St-Jean-Baptiste (Biblisheim)

Saint-Jean-Baptiste is the village church of the French community Biblisheim in the Bas-Rhin department . It is dedicated to John the Baptist .

The church was built in 1809 after the Benedictine abbey was destroyed. An inscription above the entrance portal refers to this year: ANO DNI MDCCCIX HAEC ECCLESIA AEDIFICATA ET - DIE OCTOBRIS BENEDICTA FUIT .

Elements of the abbey were used in the construction.
