St. Joseph Church (Opalenica)
The St. Joseph Church ( kościół św. Józefa ) in Opalenica was built between 1895 and 1900 as a parish church for a predominantly German-speaking Protestant parish of the old Prussian church province of Posen in the then Opalenitza , province of Posen , based on a design by Ludwig von Tiedemann . The building of the church was financed by the Gustav-Adolf-Werk and the local sugar factory. After the First World War the parish moved to the new Uniate Evangelical Church in Poland .
After the Second World War and the expulsion of the German-speaking population , it was used by the Catholic Church and in 1981 raised to the status of a parish church .
The building has been a listed building since 1992 .
