St. Mary's Assumption ( Bulgarian : Църква Свето Успение Богородично, Zarkwa Sweto Uspenie Bogoroditschno ) is an Orthodox church building of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in Targovishte and the diocese of Varna and Veliky Preslav subordinate. It is one of the best examples of church building towards the middle and end of the Bulgarian national revival .

The building is located in the Varosha district - the old town in Targovishte.

The church was built in 1847-1851 by Usta Dimitar from the Tryavna school . Originally, the bell tower was a wooden structure next to the building. The three-aisled church is made of stone and has a size of 510 m². The interior furnishings from 1860, including the iconostasis, were made by artists from the Tryavna school. At the beginning of the 20th century, Gentscho Nowakow added the present elegant bell tower to plans by the Italian Paul Forlani.
