The house at St.-Michael-Straße 56 is a listed building in the Magdeburg district of Sudenburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the south side of St. Michael Street not far from its eastern end. To the east of the house is the also listed building at St.-Michael-Straße 56a .
Architecture and history
The three-story plastered house was built in the mid-1860s. The simply designed, eaves-standing building has a facade in the style of late classicism and was built by the master mason Behrendt for the carter Carl Ziebke . The facade is divided by cornices and cautiously inserted window profiles in the style typical of the construction period. The building is covered by a gable roof .
The historic tenement house and the neighboring houses St.-Michael-Straße 56a and St.-Michael-Straße 57 form a group that characterizes the street scene. It is considered an important example of a simple apartment building from the early phase of the early days in Sudenburg.
The building is currently (as of 2016) empty and in need of renovation.
In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 71420 .
