The St. Franziskus Church is a Catholic church in the Steinbüchel district of Leverkusen . It is the seat of the parish of the same name in the pastoral care area of ​​Leverkusen Southeast.

history

The cornerstone of the church was laid on September 29, 1979. The church, built according to plans by the architect Theo Scholten , was consecrated by Auxiliary Bishop Klaus Dick on December 13, 1980.

The altar , ambo , tabernacle and baptismal font were made in Afra gray according to designs by the Aachen master goldsmith Peter Bücken .
