St. Francis (Steinbüchel)
The St. Franziskus Church is a Catholic church in the Steinbüchel district of Leverkusen . It is the seat of the parish of the same name in the pastoral care area of Leverkusen Southeast.
history
The cornerstone of the church was laid on September 29, 1979. The church, built according to plans by the architect Theo Scholten , was consecrated by Auxiliary Bishop Klaus Dick on December 13, 1980.
The altar , ambo , tabernacle and baptismal font were made in Afra gray according to designs by the Aachen master goldsmith Peter Bücken .
