St. George's - The British International School is a state-recognized international school with locations in Cologne and Duisburg for students from 2 to 18 years old and in Munich for students from 3 to 18 years of age. It is the first British boarding school on German soil.

The school in Cologne opened in 1985, the one in Duisburg in 2002 and the Munich school in September 2013. Pupils from over 50 nations are taught on the basis of the “English National Curriculum” from pre-nursery (pre-kindergarten age) to the IB ( International Baccalaureate ) program. This degree is recognized by universities around the world. The language of instruction is English and students are required to wear school uniform . St. George's is a co-educational , non-denominational school that is run independently of city or state grants. The range of exams may vary at individual locations.

The school is run by AERA-Verlag in Bornheim .

A total of 2000 pupils are taught at the three locations in 13 years of 3 classes each.

Classes have a maximum of 20 students and there are many extracurricular activities available. Based on the private English school system, creativity and sport are part of the holistic educational concept. Art, music and theater are also important components of everyday school life. In addition to the lessons, the students should be interested in museums, classical music and other cultural events. The regional culture with its traditions is included in the training of the students.

Boarding school in Cologne

In autumn 2008, St. George's opened Germany 's first English international boarding school for foreign students (aged 14 and over). The students live in Cologne under the supervision of house parents.
