St. Govan's Chapel is a chapel at St. Govan's Head in Pembrokeshire in southwest Wales .

Built on the side of a limestone cliff, the 5.3 by 3.8 m building with limestone walls consists of a single chamber. It was mostly built in the 13th century, although individual components can be dated back to the 6th century, when the monk Saint Govan inhabited a cave near the chapel. According to a legend, he is buried under the altar on the east side. The building is accessed via an entrance on the north side. On the north and south sides there are low stone benches and a water basin with a drain . The slate roof was probably renewed later.

The chapel can be reached via a staircase carved into the limestone. According to the popular legend, it is impossible to count the number of steps up and down and get the same result.

The chapel was added to the British List of Monuments by Cadw as Grade 1 on August 2, 1966 .

Today the building is in the danger area of the Castlemartin Ost shooting range . The opening times are shown locally.

The chapel is on several popular coastal hiking trails.
