St. Hubertus (Helmeringhausen)
The Catholic St. Hubertuskirche is a listed church building in Helmeringhausen , a district of the city of Olsberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The building, which originally had a rectangular floor plan, was expanded in 1922 by a semicircular apse and a small sacristy on the south side. The quarry stone masonry was plastered, the door and window frames were made of sandstone . The hipped roof and also the roof turret were slated. The longitudinal walls are divided by six arched windows. Another arched window is located above the portal. The plaster ceiling with volutes is smooth.
Furnishing
- The altar with a painting of the Mother of God with the child and angels is complemented by figures of St. Anne and St. Joachim. Originally from the parish church in Bigge .
- The two figures of St. Magdalena and St. John come from the old altar of the chapel.
- The partially gold-plated monstrance made of silver is 43 cm high. It was made in the 17th century
