St. Johannis (Herreden)
The Protestant village church of St. Johannis is in the Herreden district of the city of Nordhausen in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .
history
This village church was built in the 13th century and rebuilt in Baroque style after the Reformation . The half-timbered tower was added to the west side of the church in 1690 .
particularities
In the village church there is a valuable baptismal angel who shows a smiling face. In front of the church there is a rose garden created by the faithful and the memorial plaques for the victims of the First and Second World Wars .
