St. Joseph's Chapel , Battery Park NY, is the Roman Catholic Memorial Church at Ground Zero , Manhattan and was rebuilt to remember the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks . The chapel is not far from the Hudson River (385 S End Ave, New York, NY 10280) and belongs to the oldest Catholic parish in New York, St. Peter.

The chapel was badly damaged on September 11, 2001; the furniture carried outside fell victim to the rain days later, only the altar and some liturgical objects could be brought to safety. After initially thinking of leaving the place desolate, it was decided to rebuild the chapel as a memorial. It was inaugurated again on May 22, 2005.

The small church was built as a transept and equipped with sculptures and other plastic works by modern artists: Brett Slavin (Our Lady of Guadalupe), John Collier (St. Joseph), Wiktor Szostalo (glass sculpture: Christ Torso ), Guy Kemper (glass window Rise ), Sr. Cecelia (icon of St. John and St. Paul) and Christopher Cosma and Denise Amses (glass sculpture).
