St. Joseph, Oberwarlins

The Roman Catholic Chapel of St. Joseph is located in Oberwarlins , a district of Böhen in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria . The chapel is a listed building.

Patron of the chapel is Joseph of Nazareth .

Building description

Altar from 1770/80

In the place of today's chapel there was previously a wooden chapel. In 1685 permission was given to build a stone chapel. The chapel is located at the southern end of the hamlet and is easted . On the west side of the chapel there are arched windows, on the east side there are oval windows. The wooden roof turret is finished with a pyramid helmet.

Furnishing

The altar from around 1770/1780 is a marbled wooden structure. In the top there is a wooden relief of God the Father. On the side of the altar there are two wooden figures of St. Roch and St. Alexander . The softwood stalls were made towards the end of the 18th century.
