St. Katharina (Garbisdorf)
The Evangelical Lutheran village church of St. Katharina is located in the Garbisdorf district of the Göpfersdorf community in the Altenburger Land district in Thuringia .
history
The village church , built in the Baroque style in 1746/47 and consecrated on the first Advent in 1747 , only received an organ in 1815 through donations . The previous church, mentioned in a document in 1473, from which the late Gothic baptismal font and the bells were taken, was consecrated to St. Catherine . Jacob Rauschenbach from Wolperndorf made the ceiling paintings . The organ that exists today is from 1902 by Friedrich Ladegast .
