Chapel in Dietersdorf

The St. Magdalena Chapel is a Roman Catholic sacred building in Dietersdorf (municipality of Schweitenkirchen in Upper Bavaria). The namesake of the church is St. Mary Magdalene .

history

The chapel was originally built in 1660 by the electoral council chancellor Johann Amoni as the palace chapel of his court . It was badly damaged in the fire of the castle in 1801 and was finally demolished for the reconstruction of the castle.

The reconstruction of the Magdalena Chapel is thanks to the later owner of Hofmark Miller. In 1835 the new building was consecrated by Dean Egger from Wolfersdorf . After the Hofmark was dissolved, the chapel became the property of the community.
