St. Michael (Sendschotten)
The Catholic Chapel of St. Michael is a listed church building in the new garden 1, in Sendschotten , a town of Drolshagen in the Olpe district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The neo-Gothic plastered building with a three-sided choir was built in 1871 under the direction of Arnold Güldenpfennig . It is equipped with group windows and a roof turret was attached to it. A painted groin vault rests on corner pillars in the hall . The carved altarpiece is from 1648. The wooden figure of the enthroned Mother of God was carved in the second quarter of the 14th century, it was overlaid several times .
Send gravel handling
The send gravel handling is an approx. 13 km long corridor procession that begins on the feast of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary and starts from St. Michael.
