St. Nicholas in Asendorf

St. Nikolaus is a listed Protestant church in the village of Asendorf in the Dornstedt district of the municipality of Teutschenthal in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is listed as a monument under registration number 094 55607 .

The sacred building, which is under the patronage of St. Nicholas of Myra , is located on the Strasse des Friedens in Asendorf. The Romanesque architectural style suggests that the church was built in the 12th century. The sound openings in the church tower have been preserved from the original building. The current window openings and the half-timbered gables were created later. In a church wall there are stone tablets built in, which are reminiscent of grave slabs.

To the south of the church is the war memorial for the fallen of the First World War .
