Parish Church of St. Sebastian

The Catholic parish church of St. Sebastian is a listed church building in Endorf , a district of Sundern , in the Hochsauerlandkreis , North Rhine-Westphalia .

History and architecture

The neo-Gothic hall made of quarry stone with an elongated 5/8 apse was built by H. Tegethoff from 1897 to 1898. The tower is in the west. In the interior, a ribbed vault rests on consoles with round services. The room setting created by Hermann Bergenthal , like the furnishings, dates from the time the church was built. Noteworthy are the apse windows with figurative representations, as well as the wall painting above the apse arch with the depiction of Sanctus . The three bells in the tower ring in a ', c "and d". The middle bell was cast by Claes Haller in 1434. The large and small bells were cast by Albert Junker in Brilon in 1948.
