St. Stephanus (Bork)
The Catholic parish church of St. Stephanus is a listed church building in Bork , a district of Selm , in the Unna district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
The parish rights lay with the Cappenberg monastery from 1174 to 1802 .
The vaulted , baroque hall was built from plastered quarry stone from 1718 to 1724. The choir has a 5/12 ending, the spire of the west tower was put on in 1776. From 1884 to 1886 side aisles in late Romanesque forms and buttress arches made of ashlar were added. The plans come from the church builder Wilhelm Rincklake . Remnants of the furnishings from 1886 have been preserved. The wooden crucifix from the 18th century is worth mentioning. The four bronze bells sound in e'-f sharp'-a'-h '.
