St. Veit (Veilsdorf)
The listed Evangelical Lutheran Church of Peace St. Veit is located at the cemetery of the municipality of Veilsdorf in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .
The cemetery church is said to be the older of the two churches in Veilsdorf. It was first mentioned in a document in 1308. It was originally a fortified church and was surrounded by a strong wall.
The interior is equipped with wooden benches and the gallery . The church serves exclusively as a prayer room and for funeral ceremonies. It is also used to commemorate those who fell in the world wars.
In 1952 the church was renamed the Friedenskirche .
