St. Wendelin in Weidach

The St. Wendelin Chapel is a Roman Catholic church building in Weidach, a district of the Durach community in the Oberallgäu district .

It is a building of the 18th century with a drawn, three-sided enclosed presbytery . The arched choir arch facing the nave has an arched entrance between small oval windows. The flat barrel bears more modern baroque stucco and is similar to that of the parish church of the Holy Spirit in the main town of Durach.

The frescoes in the church are signed J. Hengge 1932 . The altar is possibly from the early 18th century. The modern version features a painting from 1932 between twisted pillars. In the choir arch there are wooden figures that are supposed to embody St. Wendelin and St. Sebastian . Both figures are labeled 1706 on the reverse .

The gable roof with an octagonal roof turret is above the profile cornice .
