St Cuthbert's Parish Church

The St Cuthbert's Parish Church is a church building of the Presbyterian Church of Scotland in the Scottish town of Prestwick in the Council Area South Ayrshire . In 1971 the structure was included in the Scottish List of Monuments in Category B. The church is still in use as such.

The building is located on the northern edge of Prestwick around one hundred meters west of the grounds of Glasgow-Prestwick Airport, not far from the Towans Hotel . The neo-Gothic structure was built in 1837 to a design by the Scottish architect David Bryce . Remodels in 1912 were carried out under the direction of Allan Stevenson . In 1925, St Cuthbert's Parish Church was expanded. The masonry is made of reddish sandstone . A tower with a square floor plan emerges on the west-facing front. It ends with a flat roof and pinacles at the edges. The interior is designed with cross vaults and a U-shaped gallery.
