St Joseph Parish Church (Msida)
St Joseph Parish Church ( Maltese Knisja ta 'San Guzepp ) is a Roman Catholic church building in Msida to Malta .
history
Construction of the church began on May 23, 1891, was the architect of Luqa originating Andrea Grima . It was on April 22, 1894 officially opened and is under the patronage of St. Joseph .

Exterior
The church, built in the neo-baroque style, has a cruciform floor plan with three apses . The sweeping facade, flanked by two church towers and interrupted by a number of niches, is reminiscent of that of the Church of San Domenico in Palermo, although Grima also used the pilasters common in Maltese church buildings to structure. At the time of construction, the facade was reflected in the sea, which at that time protruded further into the country.
Interior
Inside the church are remarkable paintings, including works by Emvin Cremona . The mural in the choir is by Giuseppe Cali and depicts the death of St. Joseph represents.
status
The building serves as the parish church of the local Roman Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Malta . The church is listed as a Monument in the National Inventory of the Cultural Property of the Maltese Islands .
